“Delmarva-Style” (2024)
“Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, moved to New York and became famous for creating a series of paintings and prints featuring Campbell’s Soup cans, which became a Pop Art icon of the 1960s. Warhol never strayed from Campbell’s tradition flavors, like Chicken Noodle, Tomato and Vegetable. Perhaps if Warhol was an Eastern Shoreman, he would have added Scrapple Bisque, Horseshoe Crab, Cream of Muskrat and Chincoteague Oyster Stew. He wasn’t but I am, so I did it instead.” — Erick Sahler
