“Cambridge has amassed an impressive collection of public murals spread across its downtown, including Michael Rosato’s world-famous depiction of Harriet Tubman. This graphic image by Red Swan of herons taking flight on the Chesapeake College building is juxtaposed with the vintage neon sign of Craig’s Drugs hanging just across Race Street. The scene captures the blend of traditional and contemporary styles that prevails across downtown Cambridge, and is an extension of the ideas portrayed in my 2021 ‘Town + Country’ silkscreen edition.” — Erick Sahler
