“Ocean City Station” (2022)

“Originally on Caroline Street, the U.S. Life-Saving Station has been a fixture at the south end of the Ocean City Boardwalk since it relocated and opened as a museum in 1978. Its ‘1882 Style’ design — including a small watchtower and cross-shaped braces on all gables — has been copied extensively throughout contemporary beach architecture. This print is part of my ongoing series celebrating Delmarva’s Life-Saving Stations, including ones at Indian River, Delaware, and Assateague Beach, Virginia.” — Erick Sahler
